The list
Joining the early-access list reserves a place in the queue. It is not an account, and it does not guarantee access — we open campuses in order, and a campus may open later than you would like or not at all.
Who can join
Currently enrolled college students, with a valid campus email address. We verify that address before an account becomes usable.
Referrals
Your referral link moves you up the list when people join through it. Fabricated signups — addresses that are not real students, or not real people — are removed along with the position they earned.
What is not allowed
These rules apply to everyone who uses Sarx — the list, the app when it opens, and the venues that host dates — and they are not negotiable. The acceptable use policy sets them out in full.
No human trafficking, and no sexual exploitation. Sarx may not be used to traffic, sell, coerce or exploit any person, sexually or otherwise; to arrange or advertise commercial sexual services; or to approach anyone under eighteen. Any of these ends the account at once and is reported to law enforcement.
No aiding, abetting or encouraging abuse. Using Sarx to help, hide, plan or encourage the abuse, harassment, stalking or intimidation of any person — in the app, on a date, or anywhere else — is treated the same way.
Real people, treated well. One account per person, in your own name, and no threats, harassment or unwanted contact. Reports are read by a person and acted on.
Refunds
The list is free. Joining it costs nothing, so there is nothing to refund. The app sells nothing today; anything it sells later is bought through Apple, and a refund for it is asked of Apple, under Apple's own policy.
The venue fee. Nothing is charged before your campus opens, and a card on file can be removed at any time before then — there is nothing to refund. Once billing has started, the fee is charged in advance, on your billing date each month, for the month ahead. A month already charged is not refunded: to stop a month from being charged, write to us before its billing date, and a person stops it.
Two exceptions, in full and without being asked. A charge taken in error — a duplicate, or one taken after you told us to stop — is refunded in full. And if Sarx takes your room out of the set for a reason of its own rather than for a breach of these terms, the rest of that month is refunded.
How. Write to us with your venue's name and the date of the charge. A refund goes back to the card it was taken from, and usually shows there within five to ten business days.
Changes
The list, who can join, and referrals cover the waitlist. What is not allowed covers all of Sarx, and refunds cover the venue fee. The app's own terms will be presented in the app before you can use it, and a venue hosting dates agrees to venue terms of its own.
