Step 7 of 10

Nobody has to suggest anywhere

Seven public venues Sarx has visited and agreed terms with, dealt one card at a time. Both people go through the same seven apart, and each chooses one. That is the whole mechanism: the question "so where do you want to go" — which is really the question "who is going to decide" — never gets asked.

  • Seven, never a directory. A curated list is the only kind two people get through.
  • They choose apart and neither sees the other's answer, so nobody states a preference first.
  • An arrow either side of the heart: browsing costs nothing, and no venue is spent by a glance.
  • There is no field to type a place into, which is what keeps a first date out of somebody's house.
